Touch the Beast

Intriguing, genderfluid, sensual, unsettling!

Made in March 2019, during an intense week in Dance City’s theatre, it premiered in London at Jackson’s Lane. Touch the Beast has gone on to garner awards for direction, performance, music and cinematography at film festivals across the globe, such as Snow Leopard, 4 th Dimension and Nosferatu International Film Festival and viewed by thousands. Made on a shoe string budget with support from Arts council England using public funding by the National Lottery and further support in kind by Dance City and Curious Arts, Newcastle you can now experience this neo Gothic romance/horror for yourselves!

Inspired by two of Edgar Alan Poe’s short stories (The Cask of Amontillado & The Oval Portrait) and filmed by Andy Wood (Leeds International Film Festival), with music by Rom Yagnik (Marie of Easttown HBOmax), the performers are Dora Frankel, Giacomo Pini and Livia Massarelli.
